Honey, honey, how you thrill me… You know the rest. The sweet, fragrant, golden nectar can make a superb alternative sweetener. Whether it’s used to add an extra note of floral flavour to a dish or drizzled over a fabulous bake for a gorgeously sticky glaze, a spoonful of honey goes a long way.

Here are 14 of my favourite sweet treats, using the golden stuff, from around the web.

We’ve one-upped the American-style pecan pie with this fantastically sweet walnut-heavy tart.

Think of this cake as a honey-fied lemon drizzle – moist sponge is spiked with plenty of spice and drenched in a gorgeous honey glaze.
