Germans go bonkers for their fruit spirits, and this cherry brandy is one of the best known (Kirsche is German for cherry). Serve at room temperature or chilled as a pre-or-post-dinner drink, add to cocktails such as a Singapore Sling, or use as an ingredient in some savoury sauces and in desserts such as black forest gâteau.
