The comedian Jerry Seinfeld said people like ordering salsa because
they love saying the word, but there’s more to it than that. Salsa
simply means ‘sauce’ and there are many kinds: some are poured over
food, some served as relishes. They can include just about any fruit
and veg, and most are pepped up with a little fiery chilli. The best
known is probably the Mexican tomato salsa, which includes chilli,
onion, coriander and lime.
