Every year, the Jack Daniel’s distillery hosts a barbecue cook-off in its hometown of Lynchburg, Tennessee. Hundreds of teams from around the world fly in to compete in the event, which celebrates its 21st birthday in 2009.
Flying out by 23 October, the lucky winner and a friend will spend an action-packed couple of days at the championship on 24-25 October, with lots of barbecued food to sample – plus a few barbecuing secrets and tips from the experts. Winners will also take a tour of the Jack Daniel’s distillery and enjoy dinner at Miss Mary Bobo’s Boarding House, a restaurant housed in a Lynchburg mansion. Meanwhile, 20 runners-up will win a full set of Jack Daniel’s Barbecue Sauces, a recipe booklet and barbecue tools to get summer started in style.
