Allinson is working with the National Trust to recreate one of Thomas Allinson’s classic Victorian recipes, the Winifred Pudding, to celebrate the re-launch of Allinson Bread. To commemorate the revival of this tasty pudding, Allinson has fifteen National Trust family admission passes to give away to Delicious readers.
Thomas Allinson was a man far ahead of his time. A strong advocate of a vegetarian diet, Allinson devised a series of recipes, which promoted his views on healthy living.
Food historian, Caroline Yeldham, has helped to re-create Thomas Allinson’s 100-year-old recipe - the Winifred Pudding - which is being served at selected National Trust properties this winter. It was devised to use up bread and incorporate it into a pudding. It contains a selection of everyday ingredients such as sugar, milk, eggs, butter, lemon and wholemeal bread on a puff pastry base.
To mark the anniversary of the Winifred Pudding recipe, Allinson is giving away fifteen family admission passes, each admitting a family of two adults and two children to one National Trust Property.
Closing date: Monday 2nd April 2012
