World Jersey Cheese Festival, Jersey, Channel Islands
The first ever World Jersey Cheese Festival is set to take place this May and is expected to attract many more tourists to Jersey in the future.
It will feature the first ever breed-specific cheese competition, with cheeses from across the world made from ‘Jersey’ milk (Jersey cattle can be found worldwide), and feature a main cheese tent where the public will be able to sample and purchase cheese and related goods, as well as cheese-making demonstrations, and cookery displays from leading chefs.
Locally produced foods, from Jersey Royals to oysters will also be available, accompanied by locally produced beers, ciders and wines. There will be live music and traditional games.
