Some of Scotland's best restaurants are showcased alongside speciality foods and drinks companies and celebrity chef cooking demonstrations at the first in a nationwide series of top-notch festivals, organised by Channel 4.
At the
delicious. magazine’s Producers' Market, which will feature at
the English and Scottish Taste Festivals, a selection of artisan
producers will be selling and sampling food and drink products. It offers a variety of homemade and homereared food and ingredients, brought to Taste by local producers.
Wine and champagne lovers should follow their noses to
Taste
Wine, sponsored by Wine Rack, where enthusiasts can perfect their tasting techniques in 10 minute Wine Experience sessions.
At the
Laurent-Perrier Champagne Bar, take part in the Laurent Perrier Champagne Masterclasses, a suitably indulgent experience that marries Laurent-Perrier Champagne with fine dining from renowned eateries such as Le Caprice and The Ivy. The Laurent-Perrier
Champagne Masterclasses are only available to those who have bought a Connoisseur’s ticket.
Edinburgh’s Food and Whisky School will provide activities and demonstrations that celebrate Scottish whiskies.
And the popular
Taste Theatre will feature Scotland’s
Michelin-starred chef, Martin Wishart, alongside Nick Nairn, Tom
Kitchin, and celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson. The well-regarded chefs will compete to create the finest interpretation of Edinburgh’s Signature Dish, as created by this year's winner of the Scottish Food Scholarship.
