The Taste Festivals start in Edinburgh. Check out Taste's other UK venues...
29 May–1 June 2008
Some of Scotland's best restaurants are showcased alongside speciality foods and drinks companies and celebrity chef cooking demonstrations at the first in a nationwide series of top-notch festivals, organised by Channel 4.

At the delicious. magazine’s Producers' Market, which will feature at the English and Scottish Taste Festivals, a selection of artisan producers will be selling and sampling food and drink products. It offers a variety of homemade and homereared food and ingredients, brought to Taste by local producers.

Wine and champagne lovers should follow their noses to Taste Wine, sponsored by Wine Rack, where enthusiasts can perfect their tasting techniques in 10 minute Wine Experience sessions.

At the Laurent-Perrier Champagne Bar, take part in the Laurent Perrier Champagne Masterclasses, a suitably indulgent experience that marries Laurent-Perrier Champagne with fine dining from renowned eateries such as Le Caprice and The Ivy. The Laurent-Perrier Champagne Masterclasses are only available to those who have bought a Connoisseur’s ticket.

Edinburgh’s Food and Whisky School will provide activities and demonstrations that celebrate Scottish whiskies.

And the popular Taste Theatre will feature Scotland’s Michelin-starred chef, Martin Wishart, alongside Nick Nairn, Tom Kitchin, and celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson. The well-regarded chefs will compete to create the finest interpretation of Edinburgh’s Signature Dish, as created by this year's winner of the Scottish Food Scholarship.
