Ah, so you couldn't resist. Now the deed is done, resist a fry-up or a bag of chips – if you're hungover, these recipes will get you back on your feet much quicker than a lard feast.
On a detox? That means no wine with dinner, no beer down the pub, and no spirits on pain of death. These juices, smoothies, and chocolate recipes should take your mind off the demon drink.
Amaretto is Italy's best-selling liqueur and rightly so, we say. And it's best served with fairy lights around the glass...
Limoncello isn't just a shot drunken revellers knock back post-midnight when the wine and vodka has run out, it's a gorgeous lemon-infused libation which goes well in long drinks, cocktails, and with – or in – puds.
This firewater is actually a powerful 'digestivo' that complements bitter chocolate and coffee.

Government guidelines state that women should drink no more than 14 units of alcohol per week, and men no more than 21. How much you drink may surprise you.

175ml standard glass of wine (12% ABV)

1 pint (568ml) ordinary strength lager, beer, bitter, ale, or cider (e.g. Boddingtons, Tetley's, Carling, Carlsberg, Foster's Woodpecker)

250ml large glass of wine (12% ABV)
