Cabbage is boring? Try this buttered garlic cabbage recipe to put some gusto into your greens. Suitable for vegetarians too.

Buttered garlic cabbage

Ingredients

  1. 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  2. 25g butter
  3. 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  4. 1 large savoy cabbage, outer leaves discarded, cored and shredded

Method

  1. 1. Heat the oil and butter in a large saucepan. Add the garlic and heat for 20 seconds. Stir in the cabbage and 2 tablespoons water. Season, cover and cook over a medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring now and then, until wilted and very tender.
