Caribbean spiced nuts recipe

Caribbean spiced nuts

Ingredients

  1. 350g mixed nuts
  2. 1 free-range egg white
  3. 50g caster sugar
  4. 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  5. 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  6. 8 cardamom pods, seeds removed and crushed

Method

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan180°C/gas 6. In a small bowl, mix the nuts with the egg white.
  2. 2. Mix together the sugar and spices, then scatter over the nuts. Mix well and spread out on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Set aside to cool completely, then serve in bowls.
