Get the kids to help decorate these fabulous chocolate cake pops.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 113g butter
- 170g chocolate chips
- 170g caster sugar
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 170g self-raising flour
- Pinch of salt
- 24 lollipop sticks
Method
- Heat the oven to 160C. Grease the pan and set aside. In a medium saucepan, over a low heat, melt the chocolate chips and butter together, then stir until smooth.
- Remove from the heat and pour into a bowl. Add the sugar and cocoa powder and mix until blended. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Add the flour and salt and stir until blended.
- Spoon the batter into the bottom half of a cake pops baking tin, filling each well until it mounds over the top of the tin.
- Place the top of the tin on top and secure with keys.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
- Cool for 5 minutes in the tin, then remove the cake pops from the tin and allow to cool completely.
- Dip a lollipop into melted chocolate and insert into the cakes.
- Adorn with decorations of your choice.
