Cranberry sauce recipe

This fabulous side dish is the perfect accompaniment to your roast.

Cranberry sauce

Ingredients

  1. 300g fresh (or frozen) cranberries
  2. 100g caster sugar
  3. 100ml port
  4. 1 orange
  5. 1 cinnamon stick

Method

  1. 1. Put 300g fresh (or frozen) cranberries in a pan with 100g caster sugar, 100ml port, the pared zest of 1 orange and 1 cinnamon stick.
  2. 2. Heat gently and simmer until the cranberries start to break down and become sticky and tender.
  3. 3. Set aside to cool until ready to serve.
