Don't waste your money on shop-bought fruit and nut bars when you can make them just as easily yourself.

Ingredients

  1. 250g ready-to-eat dried apricots
  2. 250g ready-to-eat exotic dried fruits
  3. 50g ready-to-eat dried mango
  4. 100g mixed nuts
  5. 1 tablespoon each of pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds

Method

  1. Put 250g ready-to-eat dried apricots, 250g ready-to-eat exotic dried fruits and 50g ready-to-eat dried mango in a food processor and whizz until smooth. Whizz in 100g mixed nuts and 1 tablespoon each of pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds. Line a 17cm tin with rice paper and pack in the mixture. Leave for about 1 hour, then cut into 12 bars and store wrapped in rice paper.
