Griddled tuna steaks with avocado and red onion salsa

Ingredients

  1. 1 avocado
  2. ½ small red onion, finely sliced
  3. A dash of Tabasco
  4. A good squeeze of lime juice
  5. 4 tuna steaks
  6. ½ tbsp soy sauce
  7. ½ tbsp olive oil
  8. Salsa and lime wedges, to serve

Method

  1. 1. Chop the avocado and mix with the red onion, Tabasco and lime juice in a bowl. Season.
  2. 2. Brush the tuna steaks with a mix of soy sauce and olive oil. Griddle for 1-2 minutes each side. 3. Serve with the salsa and lime wedges.

Marry this with a Chablis.
