Michelada cocktail recipe

The Michelada is a popular Latin-American cocktail known in Spanish as cerveza preparada (prepared beer). A few of these and some Margaritas, are sure to get the party started!

Ingredients

  1. 2 tbsp sea salt
  2. 1 tbsp chilli powder
  3. Lime juice
  4. 2 tbsp lime juice
  5. 2 dashes hot sauce
  6. 1 dash soy sauce
  7. 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
  8. A pinch of pepper
  9. 1 ice-cold Mexican beer such as Corona
  10. Lime wedges, to serve

Method

  1. 1. Mix sea salt and chilli powder on a saucer, run a little lime juice around the rim of a glass, then dip into the chilli mix.
  2. 2. Fill the glass with ice, add 2 tbsp lime juice, 2 dashes hot sauce, 1 dash soy sauce, 1 dash Worcestershire sauce and a pinch of pepper. Slowly pour in an ice-cold Mexican beer such as Corona. Decorate with lime wedges, stir and enjoy.
