Spicy Oriental lamb salad recipe

Spicy Oriental lamb salad

Ingredients

  1. 4 lamb leg steaks
  2. 3 tbsp soy sauce
  3. 1 garlic clove, crushed
  4. 1 tbsp sesame oil
  5. 1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
  6. Juice of 2 limes
  7. 2 tbsp soy sauce
  8. A dash Thai fish sauce
  9. 1 tsp sugar
  10. 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh mint
  11. A handful of watercress
  12. A handful of pea shoots
  13. 8 finely sliced radishes
  14. Cress

Method

  1. 1. Marinate the lamb leg steaks in the soy sauce, garlic and sesame oil for 10 minutes.
  2. 2. Make a dressing with the chilli, lime juice, soy sauce, Thai fish sauce, sugar and mint.
  3. 3. Mix handfuls of watercress and pea shoots with the radishes and some cress, and toss with the dressing.
  4. 4. Cook the lamb in a hot frying pan for 3-4 minutes each side until cooked. Finely slice and add to the salad. Serve with bread.
