Sprouting broccoli with garlic breadcrumbs recipe

Sprouting broccoli is a fantastic vegetable as it's packed with vitamins and other health benefits. Adding garlic breadcrumbs just makes it even more special.

Sprouting broccoli with garlic breadcrumbs

Ingredients

  1. Knob of butter
  2. 1 tbsp olive oil
  3. 1 large garlic clove, finely chopped
  4. 50g fresh breadcrumbs
  5. 250g purple sprouting broccoli

Method

  1. 1. Heat the butter and oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the garlic and fry for 1 minute. Add the breadcrumbs and fry for a further 3 minutes until crisp and golden.
  2. 2. Meanwhile, cook the broccoli in a pan of salted water until just tender. Drain, transfer to a dish, scatter with the garlicky breadcrumbs and serve.
