Stir-fried sprouts with nutmeg recipe

We all know that sprouts aren't everyone's cup of tea. But serve up this quick recipe for stir-fried sprouts and we think the sprout-haters will change their minds.

Stir-fried sprouts with nutmeg

Ingredients

  1. 900g prepared Brussels sprouts
  2. 50g butter
  3. 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg

Method

  1. 1. Thinly slice the sprouts lengthways and wash under cold water. Cover and chill until needed.
  2. 2. Just before serving, heat the butter in a large, heavy-based pan over a medium-high heat. Add the sprouts and stir-fry for about 5 minutes, so they are still a little crunchy. Add the nutmeg, season and serve.
