There is something both wicked and restorative about the icy sweetness of an old-fashioned malt shake.
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 generous scoops of chocolate
- ice cream
- 1 tbsp smooth peanut butter
- 3 ice cubes
- 1 tbsp malt extract (from health
- food shops)
- 300ml milk, to taste
Method
- 1. Blitz the banana, ice cream and peanut butter in a blender before adding the ice cubes and malt extract. Blend until you have a smooth, latte-coloured mixture.
- 2. Finally, pour in the milk. Add more than the amount specified if it’s too thick. Transfer to a Thermos flask immediately to keep it really chilly.
