Tomato, ham and cheese turnover recipe

Tomato, ham and cheese turnover

Ingredients

  1. a packet of ready-rolled pastry
  2. 4-6 slices ham
  3. 2 tablespoons of fresh pesto
  4. 80g roughly cut up Boursin cheese
  5. 2 sliced tomatoes
  6. egg

Method

  1. Open out a packet of ready-rolled pastry on a lightly floured surface. Overlap 4-6 slices ham on one half, then spread with 2 tablespoons of fresh pesto. Arrange 80g roughly cut up Boursin cheese and 2 sliced tomatoes on top. Brush the pastry edge with beaten egg, fold over the other half of pastry and seal well. Crimp the edges and make slashes across the top of the pastry. Brush with more egg and bake at 200°C/fan180°C/gas 6 for 20-25 minutes, until risen and golden.
