Tuna with hot tomato and caper dressing recipe

These tuna steaks are quick and easy and topped with a simple but glorious dressing.

Ingredients

  1. a couple of tuna steaks
  2. 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  3. 1 tablespoon of drained capers
  4. a good splash of lemon juice
  5. 1 chopped and deseeded tomato
  6. 1/2 teaspoon of harissa (chilli paste)
  7. a handful of chopped coriander

Method

  1. Take a couple of tuna steaks, brush with olive oil, season, and cook on a griddle pan for 3-4 minutes each side, until just tender but still slightly pink in the middle. Meanwhile, in a small pan heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil with 1 tablespoon of drained capers, a good splash of lemon juice, 1 chopped and deseeded tomato, 1/2 teaspoon of harissa (chilli paste) and a handful of chopped coriander. Serve warmed through over the cooked steaks.
