1. Garlic-stuffed chicken with pistachio, sour cherry and herb pilaf
I love making this for Sunday lunch. It’s still a roast but a bit different from the usual roast chook and so easy to make.
2. Lemon curd
I can never say no to lemon curd and this one’s great on toast, as well as in baking. It’s not too sweet as many curds can be.
3. Spring onion focaccia
Spring onions get so much better when they’re cooked. They’re still really strong but sweet at the same time. The focaccia travels really well so it’s great for a picnic.
4. Trofie pasta with green beans and new potatoes
Double carbs. Need I say more?
5. Peach and marzipan tart
This is so simple and so good. I almost ate the whole thing when it was tested in the delicious. kitchen.
6. Beef wellington
This literally melts in your mouth. I’m not normally a fan of beef wellington as it’s quite heavy but this one is just right.
7. Eggy-bread grilled cheese sandwich
This is so naughty and exactly what a hangover calls for; two of my favourite things, cheese and eggs, in one sandwich.
8. Gennaro Contaldos’s porchetta
It’s a really great Sunday roast, the fennel is really great with the juicy pork belly
9. Muscovado tart with mascarpone
It’s like a treacle tart mixed with a custard tart; two very fine things.
10. Pizza with broad beans and courgettes
I use this two ingredient pizza base all the time, it literally takes 5 minutes to make.
