More info: Eye to Eye Media produce high quality food media including the award-winning delicious. magazine, website and social channels alongside a portfolio of highly acclaimed food media projects for key clients such as Waitrose & Partners. It’s busy, exciting and most importantly we LOVE food. We have large, highly-engaged audiences cross-platform, and we strive to produce the best quality content for them to enjoy, whether it’s a recipe, video or an in-depth feature about a food producer or manufacturer.

We are looking for a dynamic and experiences recipe producer to join our company Eye to Eye Media (ETE). You will work primarily across deliciousmagazine.co.uk and associated channels, starting as soon as possible. This role reports into our Head of Food.

The role

Devising food and recipe content for delicious. magazine and deliciousmagazine.co.uk. Providing support for W&P projects and new business, as required, with advice on briefs and trends. Supporting the Head of Food and the Shoot Production Manager in managing and organising freelance staff, when required.

Key responsibilities

Recipe content creation for delicious. (both online and in print) and for commercial clients. Planning and writing wider food features and assisting in food styling on shoots when needed. Testing recipes to ensure quality and assisting with proofing written recipes to ensure accuracy.

Commissioning recipes – within the team or externally

  • Recipe devising and aiding the Head of Food in planning for delicious. in both print and online
  • Reacting quickly to trends and creating appropriate related recipes/content
  • Devising and shooting missing recipes to fill gaps, particularly for online
  • Being part of the team creating commercial / native pieces
  • Being active on new business pitches where applicable


  • Aiding the Head of Food in issue recipe selection and balance of printed issues
  • Aiding the Head of Food to ensure editorial and recipe content work together as compelling features for both print and online
  • Proof-reading with attention to detail to make sure all recipes are correct
  • Writing for the magazine and online to bring added value to recipe content
  • Support for W&P projects, as required

Recipe testing

  • New recipes for print and online
  • delicious. Australia content
  • For native or advertorial campaigns – occasional
  • Responding to cooking queries from users and readers


  • Working closely with the shoot manager to ensure shoots are as efficient as possible
  • Writing styling briefs for stylists and photographers with the Art Desk and ensuring the brief is adhered to
  • Working with the Art Desk and Head of Food on visuals
  • Assisting the Food Stylist on photoshoots and attending other shoots to make sure visuals meet the brief (when needed)

Social and video

  • Organising the Food Desk to answer comments and queries quickly
  • Organising the Food Desk to appear in video content – this could be directed or self-shot
  • Being ‘present’ on social media, building profiles through interaction and appearance

Key skills and experience

  • Wide knowledge of and passion for food
  • Strong experience of recipe content creation and the ability to develop large numbers of unique recipes quickly
  • Ability to work efficiently to regular tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of contemporary trends in the food world (social, chefs, restaurants, online and television)
  • Creative flair and an eye for strong visuals and design
  • Food styling skills
  • Ability to be flexible to suit the demands of the job; the ability to change and adapt
  • Good team player
  • Strong organisational skills
