  1. No time to make your own pastry? Use 320g ready rolled all-butter puff pastry. Attach, trim, glaze and bake as in the recipe.

  2. Assemble the unbaked pie up to 2 days ahead, then chill. Cook from chilled. Freeze the assembled, unbaked pie, well wrapped in cling film, for up to 3 months. Cook from frozen, adding 10-15 minutes to the cooking time.
