Meet the senior team

Laura Rowe, editorial director

Laura has overall responsibility for growing and nurturing delicious. and delighting its food-obsessed audience. She previously edited groundbreaking local food magazine Crumbs in the South West and the food and travel media brand olive, where she launched numerous awards and an award-winning podcast. She published her first book, Taste: The Infographic Book of Food, in 2015 and her second book, Rustle Up: One-paragraph Recipes for Flavour without Fuss, was published with co-author Rhiannon Batten in 2022. Prior to delicious., she was head of content marketing at Ocado Retail, where she led a multi-award-winning partnership with Nigella Lawson.

Tom Shingler, head of food

Tom masterminds the food content strategy across the brand. He’s been immersed in the world of chefs and restaurants for over a decade and relishes sharing culinary expertise from professional kitchens with ambitious home cooks. After completing a masters degree in journalism, he began his career writing for Great British Food and Speciality Food Magazine. He then joined food platform Great British Chefs, where he became editor and lead photographer, collaborating with chefs at the forefront of the UK food scene and writing features on everything from how to sous vide to the rise of British goat meat.

Meet the digital team

Phoebe Stone, deputy editor (traffic)

Phoebe organises the recipes and stories that appear on the website, looking at trends and traffic to show users more of what you want to cook right now. She started her career at delicious., first as an assistant on the brand’s first-ever Produce Awards and later on the editorial desk, writing news pages, shopping guides and interviewing chefs, producers and food lovers from all walks of life. Born and raised in Somerset, she grew up keeping chickens and making cider and still loves collecting elderflowers and a good cream tea.

Mia Rodriguez, acting deputy editor (audiences)

Mia leads social strategy for delicious. newsletters and manages our social media presence. Her career blends digital marketing, copywriting and a background in private cheffing and catering, having completed a diploma at Leiths School of Food and Wine. She has crafted content for restaurants, cookbook authors and food brands. After working on the delicious. editorial team (covering reviews, guides and interviews), she joined the digital team. Originally from South London, she now enjoys life on the Kent coast.

Katy Salter, freelance content producer

Katy is an experienced food journalist, web editor and freelance content producer for delicious. She started her career as features editor of Waitrose magazine, before moving into the worlds of recipe websites and freelance writing. Her work has appeared in The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Times as well as numerous food and travel titles. Her cookbook Dairy-Free Delicious was published in 2015 and she has also been shortlisted for the Guild of Food Writers’ Journalist of the Year, Fortnum and Mason Food Journalist of the Year and Best Food Journalist in the Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Awards. Katy lives in Kent with her family and extremely chatty cat, Crunchy.
