This delicious twist on a bakewell tart is flavoured with sour cherry, pistachio and cardamom. It’s an ideal dinner party dessert – familiar but sophisticated.

Before you start
It’s important to rest your pastry in the fridge to stop it shrinking in the oven. Pastry will happily sit in the fridge for a day if you want to make it in advance.
If you can’t get hold of sour cherry molasses, you could use pomegranate molasses for that sweet tartness, or even a squeeze of lemon juice.
