Manhattan cocktail

Method

1. Stir the whiskey and sweet vermouth together over ice in a jug. Add the Angostura bitters.
2. Strain into a martini glass. A fun, kitsch decoration here is a maraschino cherry.

This cocktail goes well with mini Yorkshire puds with smoked venison.
