Physalis
It’s likely that you’ll have seen these pretty tropical fruits plonked on top of restaurant desserts. The yellowish round fruit is about the size of a cherry tomato, protected by a papery skin and is part of the nightshade family.
It has a tart, citrus flavour and is generally used as decoration or in salads, desserts and preserves.
