Ingredients
- 500g fresh gnocchi or use our recipe to make your own
- 150g butter
- ½ small bunch fresh sage leaves
- Squeeze lemon (optional)
Method
- Drop the shaped, uncooked gnocchi into a large pan of boiling salted water. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large non-stick frying pan. When it’s foaming, add the sage leaves and fry until they start to turn crisp. The butter will also start to develop small brown flecks in it and smell biscuity.
- Once you’ve drained the gnocchi, add them to the butter and toss to combine. Taste and add salt, pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice if it needs it. Serve immediately.
