Sweet orange pasta bites

- Basic pasta dough ingredients (replacing the salt with 2 tbsp caster sugar and the oil with 2 tsp orange juice)
- Grated zest of 1 orange
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Icing sugar, for dusting
- Make the basic dough, replacing the salt with caster sugar and the oil with orange juice. Add the orange zest. Wrap in cling film and chill for 30 min. When read, roll out and, using a crinkled pastry cutter, cut into short, wide strips.
- Heat a pan half-filled with vegetable oil until a bread cube turns golden in 45 sec. Fry the pasta in batches for 45 sec. until golden. Drain. Dust with icing sugar, and serve immediately.
