Supermarket opening times and last-order dates for Christmas food 2020

Christmas is always the busiest time of the year for UK supermarkets – and for the major retailers, Christmas 2020 is turning out to be busier than ever.

Due to Covid-19, delivery slots are becoming as hard to find as the sixpence in the Christmas pudding, so book yours sooner rather than later. For ease, we’ve rounded up the cut-off dates for last orders on Christmas grocery deliveries at Aldi, Asda, Booths, Iceland, M&S Food (Ocado), Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose, plus Christmas store opening times.

Many supermarkets are urging customers to do their Christmas food shop as early as possible this year to keep crowds and queues to a minimum in the run-up to the big day. Whether you’re doing a bumper pre-Christmas supermarket shop or popping to the shops for a few last-minute items, stay safe by shopping alone and following the Covid-19 guidelines in your area.

We wish you a merry and food-tastic Christmas and New Year!
