How to use up leftover black treacle

  • Treacle glazed salmon
In a small bowl, mix together 2 tbsp black treacle, 2 tbsp lemon juice and 1 tbsp soy sauce. Put 4 salmon fillets skin-side down on a baking sheet, then brush the marinade over, coating the fillets thoroughly. Cover and leave in the fridge for 1 hour for the salmon to absorb the flavours. Bake in an oven heated to 180°C/160°C fan/gas 4 for 15 minutes or until cooked through, then serve with seasonal steamed green vegetables.
