With London establishments including a restaurant and bar in the Royal Academy, plus a Surrey pub-with-rooms, an Andalusian guesthouse and an outpost in Abu Dhabi, José is the UK’s best-known Spanish chef. He comes from Extremadura in the west of Spain but made his name on London’s Bermondsey Street, where he’s king of the strip with three restaurants. He’s a regular on shows such as Saturday Kitchen and the most recent of his books is 2022’s The Spanish Home Kitchen.
