Born in south London with Jamaican and Saint Lucian roots, Dom honed his cheffing skills around the world before returning to the capital to work as a head chef in luxury hotels. His passion for Caribbean cuisine saw Michel Roux Jr pick him as the winner of Five Star Kitchen: Britain’s Next Great Chef (Channel 4, 2023). Chef Dom opened The Good Front Room in Michel’s restaurant at the Langham hotel, showcasing Caribbean cuisine in a fine dining setting, and his six-month residency was so popular it was extended for four more months. Dom’s latest venture is Marvee’s Food Shop in Ladbroke Grove. Named after his mum, Marveline, it celebrates the food and culture of the Caribbean. Follow Dom on Instagram @chefdomtaylor
