Instead of cachaça, this zesty caipirinha recipe is made with gin; a great balance for the citric nature of the lime and the floral aspect of the honey.

If you’re after the classic Brazilian cocktail recipe, try our caipirinha recipe here.

  • 50ml gin, such as Sipsmith London Dry Gin
  • ½ lime, cut into quarters
  • 2 tablespoons honey

  1. Combine the lime wedges and honey in an empty glass and muddle/squash to release the juices. Fill the glass with ice and add the gin.
  2. Transfer the contents into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Return to the original glass.
