Looking for a beer cocktail? The Michelada could be the answer. It’s a popular Latin-American cocktail known in Spanish as cerveza preparada (prepared beer).

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp chilli powder
  • Lime juice
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 dashes hot sauce
  • 1 dash soy sauce
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
  • A pinch of pepper
  • 1 ice-cold Mexican beer such as Corona
  • Lime wedges, to serve

Method

  1. Mix sea salt and chilli powder on a saucer, run a little lime juice around the rim of a glass, then dip into the chilli mix.
  2. Fill the glass with ice, add 2 tbsp lime juice, 2 dashes hot sauce, 1 dash soy sauce, 1 dash Worcestershire sauce and a pinch of pepper. Slowly pour in an ice-cold Mexican beer such as Corona. Decorate with lime wedges, stir and enjoy.
