Win a KitchenAid Misty Blue Stand Mixer, worth £699

We’ve teamed up with KitchenAid to celebrate one hundred years of the legendary KitchenAid Stand Mixer. One reader has the chance to win a Misty Blue coloured mixer, worth £699.

The mixer comes with standard accessories including a flex edge beater, flat beater, dough hook and wire whip. The Misty Blue machine represents baking history since 1919 – with a heritage-inspired KitchenAid logo, retro trim band, unique hobnail Titanium reinforced ceramic bowl and custom powered hub cover – to mark the Centenary.

The original mixer was developed by Ohio-based engineer, Herbert Johnston, in 1908. By 1919 the first household mixer, boasting the unique planetary action and famous curves, was ready for market.

The story goes that during a product test, the wife of an employee exclaimed “I don’t care what you call it, it’s the best kitchen aid I’ve ever had!”. And the rest, as they say, is history …
