How to use up leftover horseradish sauce

  • Punchy dressing
Give salad dressings a kick with horseradish sauce instead of mustard. Add it a little at a time, tasting as you go, as some brands of horseradish are more potent than others.
  • Pimp your mash
Stir a teaspoonful of horseradish sauce (or more to taste) through mashed potato along with plenty of seasoning and a splash of double cream or a knob of butter. It’s wonderful with steak or roast beef.
  • Spiced slaw
Add a couple of teaspoonfuls of horseradish sauce to homemade coleslaw along with a squeeze of lemon juice and a sprinkling of salt and pepper.
