Buttered garlic cabbage

- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 25g butter
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 large savoy cabbage, outer leaves discarded, cored and shredded
- Heat the oil and butter in a large saucepan. Add the garlic and heat for 20 seconds. Stir in the cabbage and 2 tablespoons water. Season, cover and cook over a medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring now and then, until wilted and very tender.
- Serve as a side dish or, as pictured, with our chorizo-and-sage-stuffed roast partridge.
