Food festivals are firmly on the menu for summer 2024 – hurrah! A visit to a food festival is always a great way to discover small producers and enjoy a full-flavoured, al fresco day out.

Pub in the Park, four dates May to September
Music by the likes of Van Morrison, De La Soul and Busted meets food by local pubs and leading chefs at Tom Kerridge’s roaming festival. Each Pub in the Park weekend has its own distinct flavour and line-up of food and music guests, with the calendar including Marlow (16-19 May), Chiswick (28-30 June), Reigate (12-14 July) and St Albans (6-8 September). Foodies Festival, 12 dates May to September

The Great British Food Festival, 10 dates May to September

Taste of London, 12-16 June 
2024 marks the 20th anniversary of this popular London festival. Sample dishes from some of the capital’s most exciting restaurants in grassy Regent’s Park, including Circolo Popolare, Roka and Roti King. Kendal Calling, Cumbria, 1-4 August
This beloved music festival has a strong food and drink offering. Visit Tim Peaks Diner (brainchild of The Charlatan’s Tim Burgess), dip into the Oktoberfest beer festival or try street food from across the globe (including Tibetian, Creole and Indonesian). Malton Food Lovers Festival, North Yorkshire, 25-27 May

Edinburgh Food Festival, Assembly George Square Gardens, 19–28 July
