Dubonnet royale cocktail

  • Portion size: Serves 1
  • Ready in 5 min
  • Difficulty: easy

Having a retro party? A 1970s classic drink, Dubonnet is back in vogue, especially with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on the horizon in June 2022, as it’s thought to be a favourite drink of hers.

Serve with bubbly for a classic cocktail. Would also be perfect for a Jubilee lunch or street party.

Dubonnet is a sweet fortified wine. It’s been around for many years – since Joseph Dubonnet first sold it in 1846. It contains a small amount of the bitter quinine, which is also present in some tonic waters.
