As every cook knows, fantastic ingredients are the bedrock of great cooking. At delicious., it’s part of our DNA to celebrate the best of seasonal, sustainable, home-grown produce in every issue and on every page of our website.
For years it’s been a dream of the entire delicious. team to launch our own, carefully judged awards that are about the story, the provenance and the taste. We believe the people who put in the hard work to grow, craft and create outstanding produce need more recognition, and these awards were all about finding the nation’s best.
January 2016 saw the launch of our first inaugural delicious. Produce Awards, in association with home appliance company Fisher & Paykel, and with your help we searched the country for Britain’s local food heroes. Our judges were highly impressed by the overall calibre of the entries and it was heartening to be reminded just how much wonderful produce there is in the UK today. There was lengthy discussion and heated debate among our expert judges and now we are pleased to reveal our winners…
