How to use up leftover fresh chives

  • Cool dip
    Mix snipped chives through soured cream, then season with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Drizzle over roasted veg or serve as a dip with crudités.
  • Garlic bread
    Mix snipped chives with chopped fresh parsley, crushed garlic and salt and pepper, then mix into softened butter. Slice baguettes thickly (not all the way through), then spread plenty of butter between slices. Wrap in foil, then bake for 10-15 minutes until oozing garlicky butter.
  • Savoury muffins
