Muscovado brandy butter recipe

Give them a treat this Christmas with home made brandy butter.

Muscovado brandy butter

Ingredients

  1. 100g unsalted butter
  2. 80g unrefined light muscovado sugar
  3. 2-3 tablespoons brandy

Method

  1. Put 100g unsalted butter (at room temperature) into a bowl and beat until creamy and white. Add 80g unrefined light muscovado sugar, a little at a time and beating well with each addition. Then beat in 2-3 tablespoons brandy (depending how boozy you like it). At first it will seem like the brandy won’t amalgamate but it will become a smooth butter.
