Sausage and potato bake recipe

The easiest one-pan dish – you pop in the oven and forget about until it’s ready. And it's a cheap meal to make, too.

Ingredients

  1. 8 sausages
  2. 500g baby new potatoes, halved
  3. 3 red onions, cut into wedges
  4. 12 fresh sage leaves
  5. A green salad, to serve

Method

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan180°C/gas 6. Place the sausages in a roasting tin with a drizzle of oil, and brown in a hot oven for 10 minutes.
  2. 2. Add the potatoes, onions and about 12 fresh sage leaves. Season well and bake for 25-30 minutes until everything is cooked. Serve with a green salad.

We really enjoyed this...very simple and easy

This is a nice and simple recipe...but I like to pep it up a bit. I put loads of cherry tomatoes on the bottom of the pan and drizzle some olive oil and balsamic vinegar...then put loads of chunky vegetables on top...such as potatoes, parsnips, sweet potato, and other root veggies... Lovely served with a hot mustard...yum!
