Children love hot chocolate and this recipe has some added spices to make it equally as enjoyable for the grown ups. An ideal treat for the family to cosy up with.

  • 1 mug of milk
  • ½ cinnamon stick or nutmeg
  • 75g milk or plain chocolate

  1. Heat the milk and the cinnamon stick or the nutmeg in a pan. When the milk is just simmering, take the pan off the heat and break in the chocolate and stir with a wooden spoon until the chocolate has melted. You may need to put the pan back onto a gentle heat to melt the chocolate. Remove from the heat and give it a whisk to make the drink all frothy. Serve immediately.
