The choice of fruit is up to you, as apples, apricots, blueberries, blackberries, pears, plums and rhubarb will all cook well in this delicious dish of microwaved stewed fruit, although plums make a tasty treat.
Ingredients
- 600g plums, halved and stoned
- 50g golden caster sugar
- 4 tbsp cold water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
Method
- 1. Put 600g ripe plums, halved and stoned, in a large bowl, add caster sugar and cold water. Stir and add 2 cinnamon sticks.
- 2. Cover with cling film and pierce several times. Cook on high (900W) for 5-6 minutes.
- 3. Discard the cinnamon and serve warm.
Chef's tip
Serve warm or chilled, with Greek yogurt if you like.
