Corpse Reviver No.2 cocktail

Head of food, delicious.

This slightly terrifying sounding cocktail is a hangover cure from pre-Prohibition times. Despite the punchy ingredients list, the balanced flavours make it dangerously drinkable. While it’s probably not a good idea to mix one up to cure a hangover, it’s a pleasing aperitif before dinner.

The absinthe is traditional but we found you can barely taste it, so don’t worry about adding it unless you have some lying around. Fun fact: the Nick & Nora glass (pictured) is named after the crime-solving couple in Dashiell Hammett’s novel The Thin Man.
