Sprouting broccoli with garlic breadcrumbs

Sprouting broccoli is a fantastic vegetable to start with, as it’s packed with vitamins and other health benefits. But, adding garlic breadcrumbs takes it up a notch to a fab crunchy side dish.
- 4.7g (1.2g saturated)
- 11.4g (1.6g sugar)
- Knob of butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large garlic clove, finely chopped
- 50g fresh breadcrumbs
- 250g purple sprouting broccoli
- Heat the butter and oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the garlic and fry for 1 minute. Add the breadcrumbs and fry for a further 3 minutes until crisp and golden.
- Meanwhile, cook the broccoli in a pan of salted water until just tender. Drain, transfer to a dish, scatter with the garlicky breadcrumbs and serve.
