Dirty Dr Pepper

This is the original drink that started the ‘dirty soda’ trend in Utah, USA. We’ve swapped the coconut-flavoured coffee creamer (which is tricky to come by in the UK) with some coconut cream instead, which combines with the lime juice and fruitiness of the soda to create a tropical combo that really (perhaps surprisingly!) works.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp coconut cream
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Juice ½ lime, plus a wedge or wheel to garnish
- 330ml Dr Pepper, chilled
Method
- Put the coconut cream, vanilla extract and 1 tbsp water in a bowl and whisk briefly to loosen the coconut cream.
- Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour the lime juice into the glass, then top up almost to the top with Dr Pepper (you might not need it all, depending on the size of your glass). Pour the coconut cream into the glass over the back of a spoon so it gently floats on top.
